Empowering Education Together.

Bringing experience in education, a parent’s perspective, and a commitment to collaboration, transparency, and strong outcomes for every BOUSD student.

As a Brea resident, BOUSD parent, and longtime educational leader, I am honored to serve our community on the Brea Olinda Unified School District Board of Education. With two daughters attending BOUSD schools, my connection to the district is both personal and professional.
Education is also a shared commitment in our family. My husband serves as a school principal in Orange County, and together we are raising our daughters with a strong appreciation for learning, community involvement, and the value of public education.
With nearly two decades of experience in education, my career has included work as a classroom teacher, education facilitator, and administrator in educational leadership. My professional experience has focused on special education, student-centered instruction, supporting educators, and helping school staff have the resources and support they need to succeed.
Here in Brea, I have served on the Laurel Elementary School Site Council, volunteered as a PTO representative, and advocated for campus safety and facility improvements, including district-wide security fencing and other projects that strengthen our learning environments.
I hold a master’s degree in Elementary Education from Biola University, and I believe effective governance is built on collaboration, transparency, thoughtful decision-making, and listening to the people we serve.
As the Trustee Area 4 representative, I stay closely connected to the families in my area while working on behalf of all BOUSD students, schools, families, and staff across the district. I remain focused on academic success, supporting and valuing educators, maintaining safe and effective learning environments, and making responsible decisions that strengthen BOUSD for EVERY student.
BOUSD isn’t just the district I serve—it’s the school community my family is part of and a community we are deeply rooted in. As a Brea resident and parent of young children in our schools, my connection to the district is both personal and professional.
As both a parent and a trustee, I see firsthand the opportunities, challenges, and decisions that shape our students’ experiences.
Being rooted in Brea keeps me closely connected to the schools, families, educators, and community I am so proud to represent.

Supporting high-quality instruction, personalized learning, and the resources students need to succeed. With 17 years in education, I understand the importance of meeting students where they are and ensuring every child has access to strong academic opportunities and support.

Supporting campus safety improvements and responsible modernization of BOUSD facilities, including transparent implementation of Measure H bond projects that improve learning environments across the district.

Supporting special education, strengthening collaboration with teachers and staff, and maintaining open communication with parents, families, and the broader Brea community.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience as a classroom teacher and educational facilitator, I understand the importance of supporting educators with meaningful professional development, coaching, competitive resources, and the tools they need to thrive.

One of the things that matters most to me in choosing who represents our students is having someone who truly sees and understands our special education community. Natalie brings that lens through her background in education and, just as importantly, through her lived experience as a parent within the autism community.
There is a different level of understanding that comes from navigating these systems for your own child. Natalie knows how important it is for our students with disabilities to be seen, supported, included, and advocated for—and for their families to have a voice at the table.
Our special education families deserve representation from someone who understands this community personally, not just on paper. I believe Natalie will bring that perspective, compassion, and advocacy to our School Board, and I’m proud to support her.

Natalie Johnson has been supportive and attentive in her short term on the school board. I admire her ability to juggle being a mother, being an advocate for students and making important decisions that impact a school district.
I have enjoyed volunteering alongside Natalie for years now as members of our children’s School Site Council, class parties, and many more volunteer events at school. She genuinely cares about her community and is also such a kind and fun person to be around. I happily endorse Natalie Johnson and Brea will benefit greatly if she wins!
Natalie Johnson is a sweet, caring, and genuinely thoughtful member of the Brea community. She is someone who takes pride in being involved, supporting those around her, and helping make her community a welcoming place for families. Natalie is kindhearted, dependable, and always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Her warmth, positive attitude, and dedication to her family and community are evident in everything she does. She truly embodies the neighborly spirit that makes Brea such a special place to call home.
Natalie is an excellent board member. She is knowledgeable and is clearly dedicated to supporting all schools and students throughout the district. She is thoughtful and doesn’t make snap judgments. I know that Area 4 is in good hands with her leadership.
Natalie’s dedication and care for students and schools, as well as her compassion for educators, make her the perfect school board trustee!
As a parent, I’m supporting Natalie because I appreciate her commitment to our students, families, and schools. I believe she will be a thoughtful and dedicated voice on the School Board.
Natalie is a true community and student advocate. Having her two daughters in BOUSD allows her to understand what is truly important to us as parents and to the kids. She has always been an amazing safety advocate who spent lots of time at council meetings advocating for school fencing and other school safety measures.
